| Description of the problem | Car has a manual 6 speed transmission which had been replaced twice (once under warranty for 5th gear grind @ 45k miles and again after factory warranty expired with < 30k on new transmission). I had to pay over $2k out of pocket for a new transmission as hyundai would not warranty it. The 6spd manual transmission is an extremely common defect for all genesis coupe models, with many owners needing to replace it more than once and hyundai will not do anything about it. |
