| Description of the problem | While traveling on a two lane highway, at about 45 mph, the hood of our van flew up without warning and completely covered the windshield. I signaled and slowly moved right and eventually to the grass verge of the road. The hood was dented and flat against the windshield. I got on top of the engine to pull the hood back down but it would not go past the stops on the hinges. I then loosened the hinge bolts to the hood and was able to close the hood and strap it down. |
