| Description of the problem | Made a left turn and began accelerating to 30 mph when complete loss of power steering occurred and eps (electronic power steering) light and esc lights activated on dashboard. Shut off vehicle & checked all hoses, belts, fuses - all appeared normal. Read online that this was a common problem around 56000 miles for hyundai elantras. Turned car back on and power steering works now but i am terrified of losing control of my vehicle again in a busier street. I am thinking of taking it to the dealer to see if it is warrantied as obviously this is a manufacturing defect!!! |
