Description of the problem | Tire: hankook ventus s1 noble 2. Size: 225/40r18 88w. Abnormal cracks all around the circumference of outer sidewall of oem tire first noticed at 17k miles. Tires have 22k miles now. New port richey hyundai inspected all four tires and spoke to hankook and are aware of the nhtsa recall for the same brand and model tire with exactly the same discrepancy but different size and will not replace them. Hyundai said hankook may offer to replace only if i pay a prorated amount. Tires are oem installed on my 2018 hyundai elantra gt sport. Vehicle is garaged daily, no dangerous driving, or passenger or cargo weight in excess loaded while stationary or when driving. |
