Description of the problem	Computer break system and applied brakes failed to stop our honda crv 2018 as we were exiting the santa fe opera in a slow moving line of cars down an incline. The brakes were applied at least three times and would not engage. Car began to accelerate. At this time we made the decision to "select a pine tree" as a way to stop the crv. This was done to prevent a possible chain reaction of rear end collisions to a dozen or more cars and possible injury to the occupants. The air bags deployed. Car was totaled by the insurance company.
