| Description of the problem | While driving our 2017 honda crv today with our young grandchildren in the vehicle on a busy highway the gear shift button on the shifter and a spring suddenly popped out and fell on the floor. I pulled off the road and obviously could not shift the vehicle into park or reverse. Luckily i was able to leave the vehicle in drive and make it back to our house. I consider this a serious issue. I have read of several instances of this happening and the crv requiring to be towed to a dealership. Honda needs to issue a recall on this issue as well as the serious gas in oil issue with this vehicle. We live in an area with severe winter weather and the possibility of being stranded because of this defect is dangerous. |
