| Description of the problem | I live in new hampshire, a very cold climate. My honda cr-v ex has remote start. With every other car i have owned, you remote start the vehicle, it idles for 10-15 minutes and your car gets warm and the windshield defrosts. This vehicle does not do this. It remains cool, and the front windshield does not defrost. This is unacceptable in a cold weather climate. The engine has to be run on the highway for many miles (say 10-15) before the engine heats up enough to produce noticable heat. This is unsafe especially with the windshield. During a recent ice storm, i could not keep my windshield from building up ice because i could not get enough heat to the windshield even using the defrost setting and fans at full on. |
