| Description of the problem | Update to complaint # 11138878, 11138881, and 11139308. 1 month old crv, 2nd time took to dealer for oil overfull/ oil smells like gasoline. They have a new service bulletin which directed them to change the oil (not filter) and update the software. The software update dealt with how gasoline was sprayed into the cylinders and was supposed to stop the gasoline-in-oil condition. After a few days -- again the oil is overfull (by about an inch over "full"), the oil is black and runny and reeks of gasoline. Software update did not fix the problem. If anything it's worse. Second, new problem: the software update caused our mpg display to change from 29. 5 mpg (over 4000 miles) to 23 mpg. More alarmingly, our gasoline mileage has decreased from 26 city/30 highway/ 29 average to 26/29/27 average. |
