Description of the problem | On monday, october 14 my 2017 honda crv touring made a sudden stop on a perfectly clear day on the kelly ave bridge leading into my baltimore neighborhood. There was nothing in front of us or behind us. The automatic braking system came on and the car slammed to a halt. Thankfully no one was behind us. I really thought i had been hit from behind--it was extremely jarring. I called honda corporate and filed a complaint and am taking the car in monday to the dealer so they can run a diagnostic check. My service representative told me to clean my windshield as that was probably what caused the event to occur. I was going approximately 25 mph--if we had been at highway speeds and a truck behind us it would have been a disaster. |
