Description of the problem	Engine was making a fluttery sound. Noticed fuel in oil, found cams were binding and timing chain was stretched and loose. They replaced cylinder head and timing chain. Learned online this is a known result of oil diluted by fuel, and there is a fix but only for cars registered in certain states, not my state. Complained to american honda, case #09409822. Was told oil dilution is normal, car should not be driven short distances - claimed this is in warranty documents - and they will do nothing, and also cannot provide me with anything in writing. No presale mention of "requirement" to not drive under several miles. With my 1/2-mile commute, would never have purchased this vehicle. Based on this i am terrified that some time while driving in the future the timing chain will fail while i am driving, the engine will stop, and this could lead to serious injury or death -- either mine or yhat of strangers.
