| Description of the problem | Engine oil overfill condition exists as early as 700 miles after oil change at the dealership. Engine oil is above the 'full' mark on the dipstick and the engine oil has the distinct smell of gasoline present. This problem is reported on numerous honda cr-v owners forums and is associated with the 1. 5 turbo engine. It is our fear that if this overfill condition is due to the presence of gasoline mixing with the crankcase engine oil that the results could be catastrophic engine failure, explosion, sudden loss of engine power, sudden loss of vehicle control, etc. |
