| Description of the problem | At steady speeds between 20 - 45 mph, 2015 honda cr-v ex awd vibrates/shudders badly when you try to increase speed slightly. The vehicle vibrates like the transmission is shuddering/slipping and it seems to be related to the low cruising rpm (1100). Took it in to honda service and they said it is a characteristic of the vehicle and the cvt transmission. Dealer said nothing could be done to fix the issue. I test drove another 2015 cr-v and it exhibited the same issues. It may be a common characteristic but that doesn't mean the drive train is functioning as it should. It greatly diminishes the overall quality feel of the vehicle. I also reported the issue to honda usa. I am afraid that this will cause a major engine or transmission failure in the future if it is not addressed. |
