| Description of the problem | My wife was driving to work at 65 mph on the highway, 8 pm, temperature approx. 75f in milpitas, ca. The sun roof was completely closed and the inside sliding cover was closed(thank goodness) when it suddenly shattered. She did not see any object impact it. No overpasses, light traffic. On closer inspection the next morning, i observed the remaining large pieces were flared outward, as if it had exploded.( please find photos) i have since become aware that these types of failures are becoming much more frequent.(repair receipt also attached) |
