Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of oil. The failure was first noticed during an oil change and there was hardly any oil in the oil pan. The vehicle was taken to kelly honda (540 lynnway, lynn, ma 01905, (781) 484-0160) and they stated that the vehicle normally consumed that amount of oil. The contact had to take the vehicle back to the dealer three more times for the same failure after noticing the oil levels were low. The dealer performed an oil change and asked the contact to return after 1,000 miles. When the contact returned, the dealer checked the oil level and informed the contact that the levels were fine. The contact was not convinced and the dealer informed her to drive another 1,000 miles and bring the vehicle back. When the contact returned, the dealer stated that there was engine failure. The vehicle warranty did not cover the repairs; however, the contact could pay the dealer $1,500 for the repair. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 23,500. The vin was unknown.
