| Description of the problem | Driving slowly in heavy traffic on i-95 in phila car stalled and was restarted, but battery light stayed on. Engine temperature indicator was normal. After 15 minutes of additional slow driving car started smoking under the hood. Soon after pulling over to shoulder, flames started in the engine compartment and a short time later the entire car was engulfed in flames. 911 was called, police and fire truck came. Car was totally destroyed. Mileage was approx 32,000 and vehicle was well-maintained. Philadelphia police (or possibly pa state police) report was filed: pa2018. 545044.
