Description of the problem	I'm having the same vtc actuator problem as many others are having. Started after first oil change. Several times in weather below 40 but has now made same grinding noise from 60 degree down. Just not as much and not as bad sounding like when below 40. Also heard it while driving on a trip for 3 hours at 75mph. Honda customer service ( i recorded calls )said their job is to fix under warranty . But they have no fix and only tried once. I was told not all do it, sometimes replacing the part will fix it. They only tried once. I took it in 3 times and mention it more than 3 times but they will not even try. My guess , they don't want 4 failed attempts on fixing it. Then you could file lemon law etc. They have found away to work the laws in their favor. So now owners are screwed. A quote from another complaint i read pretty much sums it up for me except, i bought crv in longview texas. Little over 5k miles when problem started. I think they should give a life time warrant on the vtca and any problem it causes the motor. Btw. I have wasted a lot of time trying to find a fix and or for them to take the crv back etc. All the time i wasted talking to different folks etc. No accountability to big business. ". Honda is aware of the problem but is not doing anything about, honda, customer service says to quit replacing vtc actuators because it is not helping fix the problem. It's an engineering problem . It is not hurting my car in any way, shape, or form. " "we are aware of the concern and are looking to see what we could do to reduce it"."the noise doesn't affect the driveability or reliability of the vehicle or value. We apologize but currently there are no repairs for this."
