Description of the problem	At about 40k miles i started getting a grinding/rattling noise on some cold starts. Took it to the dealer but they could not replicate it. A year later i research the issue myself and find out its the extremely common vtc actuator noise. I contact honda of america who tells me to have the dealer take a look at it. Again they cant replicate it. Im now at 65k miles and out of my warranty range, sound is on every start after car has been off for at least half hour. Its loud enough to scare pedestrians walking past when i start it in public places (very embarrassing). Honda bulletin says "all" 2014 have a "defective" vtc actuator posted in a 2016 bulletin. Why did they not replace mine when i made the complaint. Seen reports of this causing wear to the timing chain and a few thousand dollars worth of repairs. Needs to be a recall.
