Description of the problemWhen i attempted to move the sun visor to block the sun coming in the drivers side window, it fell out of the overhead. I had to pull over and stop the car while holding the visor. With luck, i was on a rural road with no traffic. I was able to put it up in place and lock it into the clip to hold it. I contacted my local dealer and took it in to have them look at it. They said that they would order a new one. After a couple weeks when they didn't call, i called them and found out that the visor was on backorder. It took about five weeks before they got the new visor. I took the car in to have it fixed and after a couple of hours the service rep told me that the new part didn't work and that they didn't know why. They said that they were going to contact honda technical for a resolution, and they would have an answer in about two days. The next day i found out the passenger side sun visor was doing the same thing. When they didn't call, i called them and got the two day story again. After the third time that they didn't have an answer, i called honda's main customer service and registered a complaint. I got a complaint number and was told an investigator would contact me. She did, and we discussed the problem. The next morning the local honda dealer service manager called and wanted me to bring the car in, and they would give me a loaner. It took them about four more days to fix the problem. When i picked the car up i discussed what they had done to fix the visor, and found out that they had to get eight new units before they got two good ones. I feel that this is a safety hazard as the driver could easily become distracted and have an accident. Honda must realize by now that their sun visors are a piece of junk. I suspected that when i first heard that the sun visors were on back order. You need to make them fix this problem before someone gets hurt.
