Description of the problem	Honda has been in stalling defective vtc actuators in the crv and accord models. On cold start, there is a loud rattle from the engine. There is a bulletin on this problem. It clearly states that it applies to all 2012 crv's. Honda support however is attempting to avoid repair of the problem by stating that it only applies to certain vins. The defective vtc actuator has been known to honda since at least 2012. However they have continued to install the device in models through 2015 at least, perhaps later.
