Description of the problem	In was exiting off of i 12 on millerville, in baton rouge, la., i stopped, turn left to check for traffic and when i turn back around i was crashing with the truck in front of me. When the police came he ask was i hurt i told him my chest was hurting because i hit my steering wheel. He ask if i was wearing my seat belt, i told him yes. When the to truck driver open my car door on the driver side to get in because he was preparing my car to be towed, that's when i saw that my seat belt had broken. The side panel inside the car that hold the seat belt had came open, the seat belt would not retract back in the panel,it was just sitting on the floor of my car. I then call the police officer to show him since he had question me about wearing my seat belt. The seat belt will have to be repair because it broke during the accident. I took a picture of the side panel and the seat belt. I would also like to say i have never seen this happen in a car before( in other car accidents) where the seat belt compartment comes a loose.
