| Description of the problem | Windshield wipers do not clear the windshield in cold/snowy conditions. Windshield wipers rest below the heated area of the windshield which allows them to become frozen and unable to contour to the windshield. Edges of the car are taller than the windshield which traps ice on the side edges as well and also damages the wiper blades, preventing them from working. Issue has been present since purchasing vehicle. Dealer unable to fix problem. The issue causes visibility problems at a time when visibility is already bad (snow storm), the addition of a failure of the wipers to clear the window adds to the road hazard. Would like to know if sae j903a covers cold weather testing and if honda submitted paperwork to show that the wiper system meets the specification. |
