Description of the problem	We had our 2008 honda crv into the local dealer for an alignment. During the alignment, they had pointed out corrosion issues with the rear frame on the passenger side where the rear trailing arm mounts to the frame. They said that eventually, the vehicle would not be safe. I had a body shop look at the frame and they said that the drivers side is solid but appears to be weak. On our way home from the store, we hit a rabbit on the highway. The vehicle drove fine at the time. We got about 5 miles down the road and went over a set of train tracks, nothing special and the trailing arm pulled completely out of the rear passenger side frame. The whole frame section in that area is corroded and rusted. Had we been going faster then 35, it would have been very likely we would have lost control and crashed. There should be something done about this in the us. Canada already has a recall for the same thing on the 2007 - 2011 honda crv. This is a major safety concern if you are living in an area that uses salt during the winter time. The vehicle was washed several times throughout the last several winters and it didn't prevent any of the corrosion. Out of the vehicles we have own over the years, there has never been one that corroded the way the crv has.
