| Description of the problem | I had just depressed my accelerator pedal to travel on the rt. 123 bridge in occoquan, va when the accelerator got stuck all the way down and my car accelerated from 30 mph to 80 mph in a 1/4 mile stretch. I slammed on my brakes and the accelerator kept on going and then i heard and felt a sound of the accelerator crunching and the car slowed down. I am really shaken and at hendrick honda in woodbridge trying to determine if my car is safe or not to drive. I saw the five similar incidents in the database recorded since 2008, whereas people have been hurt and injured. I do not see a recall and wondering what it takes to get a recall on this serious and life threatening issue? |
