Description of the problem	July 5,2010,parked our 2007 honda crv(vin:[xxx] );the passenger door failed to unlock... Would not unlock with the automatic button release... Would not allow the passenger to physically release the lock nor allow the door handle to open the door... Also would not allow the rear hatch to open... Took to dealer and was identified as a latch failure in passenger door... Dealer fixed for $200... My complaint is that the passenger was locked inside and could not exit but by crawling over console and out driver door... No car door should lock a passenger permanently inside... Had this involved an accident,this could lead to tragic results... I believe this is a recall. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
