Description of the problem	I parked in my office parking garage spot just as i normally do. I pulled in the spot going very slowly, and even though i am completely convinced that my foot was on the brake as i turned into the parking spot, once the car was in the spot, the car suddenly without any warning or reason surged forward and crashed into a concrete beam that was right in front of my parking spot. I am sure there was nothing i did to cause this. The weather was very cold that day, and that is the only thing that was different from the numerous other days i have parked in the same parking garage without incident. The car did not skid forward, because there was no ice, and i had a very distinct sensation of the car engine revving up on its own when it accelerated. I was bruised where the seat belt was positioned across my chest, but otherwise i was okay. The car sustained approximately $8,000 in damages.
