| Description of the problem | I own 2006 honda crv. My complaint is about rear differential fluid. The owner's manual states that rear differential fluid needs to be changed every 60,000-90,000 miles. First time had to replace it at 19000 miles because of the noise when the wheels were turned right/left at low speeds. The same problem resurfaced at 53000 miles again. The dealership pushes a $250 dollar procedure (rear differential change 2 times and burnishing the clutches) to fix the problem as the vehicle is not under the warranty anymore. The dealer also recommends changing the rear differential every 15000 miles. Honda misled its customers with its low maintannace schedule. |
