Description of the problem	The airbag malfunction light came on intermittently. The dealer said they could only diagnose it when it was lit. It came on again near another dealer so we detoured there. They said it just needed to be reset. When i picked up the car i drove about 3 miles and the warning light came back on. I returned to the dealer. They said that there was a short in the controller board and the unit needed to be replaced. They replaced the entire airbag unit ($1300) and sent me on my way. About 2 miles from the dealership, the airbag warning light came back on. I returned to the dealer and the car remains there while they attempt to actually correct whatever is triggering the warning light.
