| Description of the problem | My airbags have been replaced as part of the takata recall. After the last airbag was replaced on 2/12/2016, the service advisor told me that the srs opds unit was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced at my expense ($475). He said that this needed to be replaced in order for the airbags to work properly. My contention is that if this unit needs to be replaced for the airbags to work, then this is a safety issue that should be covered by the manufacturer, exactly like the airbags have. I called honda is out of warranty and therefore my responsibility. I disagree. Please review my case and let me know your thoughts. Thank you. |
