Description of the problem	On august 20th, 2007 at 7:30 am while i was driving my 16 year old son to school my 2004 honda crv began to speed uncontrollably. According to the dealership there was a throttle cable malfunction that led to the cars uncontrollable speeds of up to 80 miles an hour. This was the most horrific experience i have ever endured. While on the freeway i was forced to weave in and out of cars all while having both feet on the brake. After deciding to apply the hand brake we decided to get off the freeway. We ran one stop sign and before coming to a dead end street thankfully we made an abrupt stop after being forced to just turn off the car. This was after having my son call a friend for help and advice. My son and i were completely shocked that nothing worse came of this. Thank god that no one was harmed in this incident. The dealership says that it was a malfunction that was not caused by the operator and there was no way to detect that this was going to happen. The dealership has agreed to pick up all cost related to the malfunction but truthfully i am not looking to get back in that car. We are currently trying to negotiate a trade-in. Thank god nothing happened to my son, me, or anyone else.
