| Description of the problem | When purchased new in 2000 the ride was loose and jittery and the car could not be driven safely over 60 mph. Between 40 and 45 the front end bounced uncontrollably. The dealer drove the car (would not allow me to accompany) and declared "that's normal for this model... That's just the way suv's ride." after 80,000 miles at speeds below 60 the transmission self-destructed. After replacing the transmission the ride is excellent. *jb |
