| Description of the problem | Tire with less than 1000 miles on it disintegrated without obvious cause while driving at normal speed despite check of air pressure in morning and routine checks of tire condition at stops while en route. Tire was installed by vehicle manufacturer: constancy ly188 st205/75r14. Tire load ratings of 1760 lbs single and 1570 lbs dual seem low for the trailer gvwr of 7655 lbs. Trailer has dual axles... It's not immediately clear to me whether the single or dual load rating applies. |
