| Description of the problem | I have a 2006 ford freestar and today it decided to slam on the brakes on the freeway without my foot touching the brake pedal. The traction control light began flashing and would not go faster than 25 mph. Turned off traction control button and ran fine. Turned traction control back on and the van slammed on the breaks again. Had to pull over turn off motor and restart engine to make the van stop. Google this problem and you will find it all over the internet a long with major transmission failures. |
