| Description of the problem | While driving on the highway the torque converter would malfunction causing the vehicle to hesitate and make a rumbling sound. The right front wheel makes tapping sounds when turning to the right or left. The ford mechanic and my personal mechanic have said the torque converter, cv joints and drive shafts will have to be replaced, and that the transmission may have to be rebuilt or replaced. I purchased the van form ford in 2007. I am looking forward to hearing for the nhtsa board on these issues. |
