| Description of the problem | The vehicle would do 35 or 40 mph and would not shift gear. Took vehicle to two automotive repair shops to find out the issue. Had the torque converter replaced along with transmission gaskets and seals. The 3rd gear shift solenoid was also replaced and vehicle still does the same thing. Took it to the ford dealership and they told me that they know there's a problem and what it is (without even looking at the vehicle), but my vehicle does not fall under the recall notice. I am asking that the recall be extended to include the 2006 model ford freestar and not limited to the 2004-2005 model year as ford has not corrected the manufacturer issue in regard to the power train performance. |
