| Description of the problem | January 2010 10:30pm while driving with my family (husband, 2 kids-7/9 yrs old) at 40mph up a steep hill, the transmission dropped out of drive and wouldn't shift. All there was parkl. Since i was on a hill i was able to back the car into someone's driveway and wait for a tow truck. Towed it to the local ford dealer and was told i needed a new transmission, that the current one was unfixable. I spent $3500 on a new transmission. |
