| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford freestar. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph the transmission would slip out of gear. The failure caused the vehicle to stop accelerating in traffic. The contact had to drive onto the side of the road and have the vehicle towed. The contact had not called the manufacturer nor taken the vehicle to a dealer. The contact noticed numerous complaints regarding the a faulty transmission for his year, make, and model. He stated that the transmission malfunction almost caused a crash to occur. The failure mileage was 129,000. |
