Description of the problem	I was driving west on kimberly rd in davenport,ia. In our 2005 ford freestar. On 1/17/2011 approximately at 1230pm. At the intersection of division st and kimberly the stop light was red and there were three cars in front of me. When the light turned green, my freestar wouldn't move. It has only a little over 117,000 miles on it, and didn't give any warning of going out. After reviewing edmunds. Com for ford freestar transmission problems, i see this is a common occurrence and i was luckier than most. The worse part of this was when the transmission went out, it was on a busy road in winter snow conditions and came close to being rear-ended a few times. Lucky i didn't have my family with me, because this could of turned into a serious accident. A davenport officer showed up to give me a safety barrier before a tow truck showed up, but i was there over an hour before the officer showed up.
