| Description of the problem | I own a 2005 ford freestar. On 19 february 2010, my wife was driving our freestar when it had a sudden loss of power. She was able to steer it safely off the road. My mechanic confirmed that it was the torque converter splines that were stripped which also caused the pump to fail. |
