Description of the problem	2005 ford freestar 55k miles on odometer: water/moisture in powertrain control module causes transmission to quit, vehicle to stall, transmission to lurch dangerously and unexpectedly. Our van has been in the shop 3 times. Since it was bought used from the dealer, it is not under manufacturer warranty. We have paid thousands of dollars in repair costs and, after each repair and after a fix detailed by a technical service bulletin by our mechanic to try and avoid water getting into vital transmission components, our vehicle has had to be returned for additional service. The last time, my wife was driving 60mph on a highway with our two children in the car when the van's electrical system suddenly quit and she nearly got clipped by a truck as she tried to pull over to the side of the road.
