| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2004 ford freestar. The contact stated that the vehicle would surge forward between one and two rpms. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the ball bearings and hoses. Six days later, while attempting to decelerate, the contact noticed that the check engine, battery, and oil warning lights illuminated when the vehicle stalled. She was able to restart the vehicle; however, it stalled again and she was unable to place the vehicle in reverse. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who performed a diagnostic test which determined that the torque converter and vacuum had failed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer.
