| Description of the problem | 2004 ford freestar-transmission failed @ 65 mph without any warning, just quit. We were driving on the mass turnpike ( i90 east ) @ night w/ cruise control on and suddenly the care revved to 5000 rpm. We pulled over to find that there were no gears, no parking gear, reverse or forward gears. Dealership says transmission has to come out. The fluid level was fine prior to the trip. No indication of any trouble leading up the event. |
