| Description of the problem | My wife had just turned through a traffic signal, and, without warning, the transmission completely disengaged. Fortunately, she was able to coast off of the road and out of traffic without incident. The van had to be towed to a transmission repair shop where we learned that the converter had to be replaced because it was "stripped". |
