| Description of the problem | On 12/15/2020 at approx 4:30 pm, i experienced sever steering wheel oscillation (death wobble) while crossing an over pass expansion joint on the florida turnpike at around 70 mph. Truck is under warranty and has 21,000 miles on it. Luckily my wife was not driving when this happened as it was almost uncontrollable, had to merge into the emergency lane and decrease speed to around 30 mph before it stopped. Car behind me saw that the front axle was hopping uncontrollably and put their hazards on. There are known fsa's and tsb's from ford regarding this problem. This is the first time it has happened and making an appointment to take to dealer to fix. After reading several threads about this, i'm sure it will be more of a "band aid" than a true solution. |
