| Description of the problem | F250, 6. 7l diesel, 4wd, crew cab, 25,000 miles. Vehicle control lost when traversing expansion joints (especially at bridge/road interface) at highway speeds (~70mph). The steering wheel wobbles erratically and the truck uncontrollably jumps laterally and at a slight angle, up to the width of an entire lane. Fortunately, there has been no vehicle (or structure) adjacent to the truck; i would have hit it! In all cases the vehicle was lightly loaded with approximately 200-400 lbs of pax/gear. All equipment is 'factory' and unmodified. All maintenance has been performed by ford dealers (only fluid/filter changes and tire rotation thusfar). |
