| Description of the problem | When the cleaning exhaust filter message comes on, the truck runs extremely rough and the engine gets a violent shake with loss of power. It also has a loud pinging sound. This lasts for about two minutes. The first occurrence was when merging on to the freeway with the sudden loss of power. I have had the truck in two dealers. Both state this is not normal but ford has indicated it is and will not authorize work until something breaks. The odd part is that the computer reads that all is ok. The dealer states all is not ok but the issue is something the computer isn't tracking??? |
