| Description of the problem | At approximately 181,000 this vehicle exhibited "sustained steering wheel oscillation" (aka death wobble). The vehicle was taken to a non-ford ase certified mechanic and repaired per ford tsb 18-2268, but did not correct the problem. Ford has claimed this vehicle is not on their list of vehicles subject to correction or mitigation. The only suspension modifications were aftermarket brakes and shocks (i. E. High quality components). The vehicle now has approximately 184,000 miles and still exhibits severe oscillations when traveling over a bump or rough surface, causing hazardous driving conditions and danger to other vehicles when a sudden slow-down or stop is needed to regain control of the vehicle. |
