Description of the problem	I was driving my son to school and as i approached the entrance to the school the alarm chimed. I slowed down on a busy 4 lane street to turn into the school parking lot. As i tried to accelerate the truck shut off leaving me sitting in the middle of an intersection with a 3 year old in the backseat in a car seat. I tried to restart the truck before the oncoming traffic reached us, to no avail i got out and started to push the truck and 2 pedestrians ran across the street to stop traffic and help me push the truck out of the street so we wouldn't get hit. When i called ford they said nothing could be done to get the truck started until the egt exhaust sensor was replaced and they were on back order for 2 weeks. After calling the dealership i purchased the truck from (out of state) they offered to overnight one to the dealership that would repair the truck. After discussing this with several members of the local dealership team including the service manager they miraculously found a sensor in a nearby town to replace the following day. We easily could have been in a serious accident if the truck would have stalled while oncoming traffic were closer. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed.
