| Description of the problem | I have a 2005 ford f-250 6. 0 diesel purchased in february 2005. Over the last year or so the truck has intermittent loss of power. This mostly occurs during take off from a stop. It has resulted in several near crashes due to faltering in the middle of an intersection. The nhtsa has a recall for this issue (05v270000) which ford acknowledges. Ford however refuses to cover the repairs for this because my vin is outside of the vin specific recall. Even thought this recall effects my vehicle's model year and trouble code. |
