Description of the problem	My 2004 ford f250 super duty crew-cab truck accelerates and decelerates spontaneously on its own while i am driving at a uniform speed. This can persist for a number of miles before abating. The engine just begins to rev up and then down for no apparent reason. When stopped at a traffic light, with my foot only on the brake, the truck suddenly accelerates and lurches forward. I tried putting it in park while at the traffic light, but it died when i did so. The truck is used for trail fcor two large horses, and should it spontaneously accelerate or completely stop while trailering on the freeway, the results could be disastrous. This significant safety issue is what prompts my complaint to the nhtsa. We took the truck to our ford dealership mechanic, and he said that ford has had a number of similar complaints.*ak
