| Description of the problem | 2004 ford f250 superduty, 6. 0 diesel, towing a 30ft. 5th wheel rv. Was traveling south on i95 at 65mph and engine cuts off as if the ignition was turned off with no warning loosing power steering and brakes. Truck was towed to ford dealer and repaired at customer's expense. Two engine wiring harnesses was replaced at a cost of $1639. 00, $104 towing, $289. 00 rental car and 6 days in savannah, ga. Unexpected. This has been an ongoing problem as evidenced by earlier safety recall ford #05s34. Ford still refuses to do anything about the problem because the truck is 10 months out of warranty with only 51,000 miles on the odometer. Safety recall apparently did not solve the problem. |
